Alexandra Lee to Participate in APA Spring Meeting on Psychoanalysis
Alexandra Lee, Wright Institute student, will participate in a conversation with former Wright Institute faculty member, Joan E. Sarnat, PhD, at the Division of Psychoanalysis (39) APA 35th Annual Spring Meeting. The meeting will take place at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco on Thursday, April 23, at 9 a.m.
The discussion, entitled "Colloquy Close Analysis of an Excerpt from a Videotaped Supervisory Hour," is based on their taping of a new APA Psychotherapy Supervision DVD produced by Wright Institute faculty member, Hanna Levenson, PhD.
Lee and Dr. Sarnat will invite the audience to view a 15-minute excerpt from the videotape in order to identify what facilitates the transition from relational disconnection and "as if" teaching and learning, to connection and authentic teaching and learning.
The APA spring meeting, entitled "Life in Psychoanalysis in Life," will take place April 23 - 26, 2015,with pre-conference activities scheduled on April 22.
