Part-time Program Assistant Position in the Wright Institute's Clinical Services Program

Schedule Description

This is a part-time position, 16 hours per week. The schedule is flexible but preferred workdays are Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday. In-person work is required, some remote work may arise

About The Wright Institute

The Wright Institute Clinical Services is a psychotherapy and psychological assessment clinic committed to a compassionate, culturally informed, personal approach to mental health and well-being. Our clinic has offered high quality, affordable, psychotherapy and clinical assessment to Berkeley and the surrounding area for over 50 years. Our services are offered to children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and couples. The clinic is staffed by Wright Institute doctoral students in training, supervised by licensed mental health professionals.

Position Responsibilities

This position will assist with functions related to the routine operations of The Wright Institute, including, but not limited to:

Provide administrative support to several doctoral training programs under the Wright Institute umbrella.
Ensure the physical environment of the mental health clinic and student offices are clean, organized, and functioning smoothly.
Restock clinic, beverage stations, kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas.
Ensure proper operation of office equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; scheduling and overseeing repairs; and maintaining equipment supply inventories.
Provide staff and students with basic technical assistance.
Audit electronic client charts to confirm all documentation is current and on file.
Monitor accounts receivable through Square platform to ensure students are billing and receiving payments per clinical guidelines.
Prepare materials and documents via Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Assist with managing communication platforms for staff and students.

Physical Demands of the Job

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:

Frequently move supplies and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School degree

Experience: Entry-level position, 1-2 years prior work experience
